The Black Points system is widely practiced in Dubai. The driver starts with 0 points initially. 

The points can go up to 24. Once it reaches 24, the license is suspended. If a person uses a mobile phone or any other gadget while driving, they will earn 4 points. Violating the red light signal will make an individual earn 8 points straight away. If any traffic violation in Dubai has caused death, it will make a person earn 23 points along with a legal court case.
